Who Was St. Elzéar?

Origins

Born in Provence, France in 1285 into the noble House of Sabran, Elzéar was raised in faith, discipline and charity. Though a count and nobleman, he chose humility over privilege.

What He Did

He governed as Count of Ariano with justice and mercy, cared for the poor daily, healed the sick, and became known as a model Christian ruler.

He and Blessed Delphine lived a remarkable marriage rooted in prayer, service and holiness.
